live audio-video installation
‘wg kunst‘, Amsterdam,
Netherlands
January/February 2008
‘tree [vol. 04]‘ are live registrations of trees living infront of 'wg kunst', transmitted into the exhibition space.
In this series of works I am building small programming environments with which it becomes possible to see and listen
to tiny environmental details of the immediate surrounding: at ‘wg kunst‘ through a stethoscope placed under the bark
of a tree that registers the vibrations in its' stem. Two live cameras transmit real-time images of the neighbouring tree.
In the live audio-video installation 'tree [vol. 04]' one is accompanied by 'music as weather, part IV',
a booklet in four languages that questions, proposes and attempts communication with the environment.
